The Ohara Site, a settlement site dating from the Yayoi Period to the Middle Ages, is located in Hiratsuka City General Park, and was excavated between 1983 and 1989 by the former fruit tree experimental station of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Hiratsuka City Site Investigation Committee. This has confirmed that the site retains traces of people's lives from ancient times to the Middle Ages.
